Gabrielle LindauGabrielle Lindau, a New York City resident, works as a filmmaker and independent film producer. Gabrielle’s latest film “These Showers Can Talk” takes viewers on a comedic journey into a world of lesbian liaisons, stereotypes, and dating; to quote Tym Moss of Artist Exposed at the official movie poster release party “This woman knows how to throw a party!” – This highly anticipated short film scheduled for its grand premier in May 2010.

Recently, Gabrielle Lindau directed Lori Michaels in the “The Right” - a music video for Lori Michaels Productions and Reach Out, Inc., a non-profit organization. She officially joined Reach Out, Inc. as the Media Director and Spokesperson for the nationwide, marriage equality campaign: “I want the RIGHT” prior to its launch on February 14, 2010.

As a Master of Arts candidate at the European Graduate School in Saas-Fee, Switzerland Gabrielle is ranked among students considered to be the best of their generation. During Gabrielle’s tenure at EGS she had the opportunity to study with influential Film Directors Tom Kalin, Margarethe Von Trotta, and Volker Schloendorff.

Gabrielle’s varied experience within the media industry is a reflection of her dedication to expanding her repertoire of skills. One of her past endeavors includes producing and directing videos for an international Fortune 500 fashion company. Additionally, Gabrielle worked as Assistant Director in the Ara Shehigian production of Sam Shepard’s True West, in association with the Lily Lodge Actors Conservatory, and as a Production Assistant with Director George Ratliff. During the pursuit of her Bachelor of Science in Film/Media Production from the New School University, Gabrielle had the privilege of becoming an Apprentice with Hidden Hill Productions and the Academy Award winning Director Thomas Lennon on “The Supreme Court”, A Nation of Liberties, The Rehnquist Revolution, A New Kind of Justice, & One Nation Under Law. Gabrielle’s on-screen appearances include the HBO TV series “Sex and the City”, and in Director Vertna Bradley’s feature length film “My First Pride”. Her work in photography began well over a decade ago, and today many of her fine art photographs can be found in most European markets.

Gabrielle’s academic workshops primarily focus on:

  • the political as a person in filmmaking
  • the role of capitalism in early American cinema and its presence throughout history
  • the topic of GLBTQI love, discussed in the deconstruction of private lives vs. public lives
